I have recently began looking into traveling solo! I separated from my husband in January, turned 30, bought my own house and am trying to find the real me, all alone. It is empowering and scary all at the same time. My good friend knows how much I want to travel and experience life and he has traveled to many beautiful places in the world. The other day he told me I should totally go and see the places I want to see, and not let the idea of going alone deter me. At first I thought “dude are you insane?!” but then the more I thought about it, the more I LOVED the idea of it. I have gone to Europe with a girlfriend a few years back and ended up doing a lot of my own things anyway, only seeing her back on the ship (we were on a cruise). It was fun to find my own tour groups and just go where I wanted when I wanted. So, the more I think about it, the more I want to do it. I have limited time off in September… only 10-12 days, but I think that’s better than nothing. Can’t get your feet wet if you don’t step into the water… right? Thanks for your amazing posts. Love them. Find them inspiring, empowering and so very resourceful. Thanks girl!

    • Hi there! Thank you for sharing! I think that your courage is so inspirational and I’m so happy to hear that you’re taking a step towards following your passion to travel. Kudos to your friend, and I hope that you have an incredible, empowering trip! Please reach out if you need any tips or travel recommendations! xx

  2. The only traveling I do is solo! I love having the freedom to go wherever I want, whenever I want, and to make and break plans as I see fit. I think this comes from being an only child 😉

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
