  1. Hello !
Any cruelty-free down coats that you can recommend?

Thank you for the tips! I am planning a trip over New Years. Is it going to be too cold to enjoy the outdoor activities during that time of year?

Hi, I was in Iceland just last week and they are having a very mild Winter! The locals say the weather this year is two months behind normal. We didn’t have any snow but it was cold. While there we drove a lot of the ring road and went to see the Geysers and the Blue Lagoon, which is an amazing experience, soaking in the hot water in freezing weather is amazing.

We took ski wear jackets and they were perfect, along with couple of layers you will be snug and warm. I wore thermal under shirts with a warm checked shirt or zip up fleece and never felt cold. Good warm gloves and a warm scarf and hat are essential of course. I took a wool hat with ear coverings as my ears get cold.If it’s particularly cold you could wear a thermal under shirt, a nice thermal tee or checked shirt, a zip up fleece and your ski jacket, along with gloves, hat and scarf you will be fine.

We went on one of the whale sighting ships to view the Northern Lights (sadly only a little flicker of them on our night) and they give you really warm all in one ski suits to put on over your outer wear clothes for when you are out on deck. The only other thing you need are a pair of good warm, waterproof, boots, over thermal/ski socks, and you’re set. Don’t expect to buy any clothing while there as prices are ridiculously high.

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
