Hi, I was wondering what the form of payment you use at most places in Iceland is. What credit card is mostly accepted, do you wait until you are there and exchange American money to Krona or do most places (especially food) take credit cards there. Thanks 🙂

    • Hey Jess! I used my credit card everywhere and didn’t pull out cash once! The only time you may need cash is to use public restrooms if you aren’t a customer, or along the Golden Circle. Just check the foreign transaction fees on your card before going 🙂

  2. Thanks for the helpful packing tips! I’m looking into buying the ankle high Sorel boots. It looks like they are waterproof but would you recommend wearing them around the waterfalls or more for casual? Hope you are enjoying your time there!

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
