Toured the same areas in southern France in 1999 and thoroughly loved the locale and its people. Good times.

I would love to visit Provence, but I have a severe phobia of birds-particularly pigeons. I’ve ruled out Paris because I know pigeons are abundant in such a bustling metropolitan area. I’m thinking/hoping the Provence region is slightly less inundated with pigeons if I stay around smaller towns? Do you remember if you noticed a lot of them around in the towns you visited?

Hi Samantha! Oooh, while there are definitely pigeons in Paris there are so many places/underground transport available that you would likely be able to avoid them for a majority of the time. As for staying in a smaller town, I really don’t recall — I don’t particularly pay attention to bird populations (sorry!), but I would imagine maybe less people there would be less pigeons? That said, if you’re in the countryside like Provence, there are many farms/fields for other birds to thrive. So I’m not entirely sure!

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
