I live here and am about to embark on a mammoth road trip from the South of England to the Isle of Skye and throwing in Wales and the Lake District for good measure. It is a beautiful country and if you have the chance you should all try and do a road trip here. Driving on the left isn’t so bad and the cars are smaller here so it is quite easy to navigate the “smaller” roads. Just stay out of the big cities! Park on outskirts and get a bus or train in! Even i will not drive in London and i have been driving 16 years!

I just thought it would be worth mentioning that Ireland is not part of the United Kingdom, nor is it part of Great Britain. Northen Ireland is part of it, but in your article you have listed Dublin and Waterford as part of the UK. Hence why Ireland have the Euro system ant not British Pounds Sterling. I just thought you might want to correct this because it is very misleading to the public and the Irish find it offensive. It’s like saying California is part of Mexico.

    • No need to mention that Ireland is not part of the UK. We never said it was. We refer to Ireland in a section for ferry transfers. That is all. It would be like giving someone a guide to North America and not mentioning that you could drive to Mexico.

Yes but Mexico is in North America, where as Ireland is not the UK.You can also visit France, Belgium, Spain, Norway and the Netherlands from England using ferry transfers if you were not generalising Ireland as the UK. I see in your Ireland blog that you removed the UK road trip link and also the interactive map you had listed Ireland as the UK before my first comment so it was changed in the meantime. Sorry if my message seemed confrontational I didn’t intend for that. Just pointing it out for other readers.

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
