Wonderful article! Let me thank you for mentioning the Eastern European countries as inexpensive. People often tend to reffer to those locations as “cheap” which implies something completely different. Although indeed inexpensive, travelling the Balkans can be an amazing experience (if I am not mistaken, the image of waterfalls on this articles is from the Plitvice lakes in Croatia, right?).
Here’s an extra tip: when travelling in Eastern Europe, renting a car may turn out to be a great alternative, as buses and trains do not follow as strict schedule as they do in the western world. Another benefit is the opportunity of exploring the unknown easily due to the lower petrol price.
Once again – thank you for the great piece! Happy travels!

    • Thank you for the awesome tip Nina!! Can’t wait to return 🙂

I must say, I admire YOU! I always wanted to be a world traveler but I don’t have enough of courage to just quit my job and go. Good luck to You! 🙂

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
