What about medical insurance while traveling abroad? Do you go through your the airline? or the medical insurance companies in the U.S? If i got into some accident abroad(break my arm or hit by a car, etc.) and needed to be moved or evacuated to the nearest hospital there, would it be covered? What about payment at the hospital? Love your site…thanks.

Just read your article again and noticed the medical insurance…i wonder if that includes med-evac

      • Yes if you read the post again you’ll see the sample coverage table and “emergency evacuation.” You can try it for yourself on their website to see everything they cover.

You are setting yourself up for misfortune without some form of health insurance while abroad. I was on an 8 week trip around Europe after graduating university. Opted to purchase health insurance before hand which cost something around $150. Lo and behold, about 5 weeks in I got hit with a kidney stone. The 10 day hospital stay in Brussels put a huge damper on the trip, but signing off on a €15,000 hospital bill to be covered by CAA made it hurt a little bit less.

    • YIKES! Good thinking getting coverage! Definitely always get some sort of travel insurance. World Nomads is great because it’s comprehensive coverage for your flight, trip, medical and luggage. I use it on every trip!

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
