  1. Can I ask you how much did you pay to go to Burning Man?

    • The Blonde Abroad

It’s definitely not a budget festival! Tickets were $380 for the week, but there are a lot of other expenses- gas, food, RV/camping, etc.

  2. these photos are absolutely incredible. I thought you couldn’t take pictures at Burning Man… So I guess it’s not banned anymore? that’s great though!

Any tips for a first timer? I’m thinking of going perhaps next year or 2015, but I can’t think of what kind of outfits to wear, gets to bring for everyone or how to find someone that’s working on a project in order to help them out. I’m not too handy when it comes to building things, lol, so I would love to join the crew and help them with their vision!

I had no idea you couldn’t photograph there in the past. You can find a ton of outfit inspiration on Pinterest… I actually started a board: http://www.pinterest.com/theblondeabroad/burning-man/

Also, Matador Network has a great “How-To” guide! You should definitely go! It was a very unique cultural experience. 🙂

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
