Thanks for the tip Kiersten! When I backpacked for nine months I only took my phone (iPhone 7+) as my camera. While that was really easy and provided me with great shots, I’ve been looking into a mirrorless camera to help step up my photography game. I’ve looked into Fujifilm before and will go back to it after your helpful tips!

    Hi Kiersten!

How do you feel about the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II?
I’m looking for a camera to bring backpacking with me in Europe. I want it to be able to take “portrait mode” kind of blogger photos and not tooooo expensive. I’d use this camera for vlogging & Insta photos.

    What do you think?

    Thanks girl! Love your blog!

    • Hey babe! I haven’t personally used it so I can’t give you a rec on Canon, only the Fuji cameras mentioned in this post.

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
