20 Photos to Inspire You to Visit Nice • The Blonde Abroad

Last summer, I traveled through the South of France for the very first time. And, just as I expected, I fell in love!

The pebbled coastline, cute towns, and topaz sea were calling, and I answered.

While I only had a day to visit Nice, it was enough time to get a taste for this famous town in the Côte d’Azur. Nice is the birthplace of the massive tourism boom to the South of France in the 1920s and has been a haven for everyone from artists to the elite for over a century.

If you’re lucky enough to visit on a Monday, like me, you will get a very unique feast for the senses at the Brocante. This antiques market takes over Cours Saleya where you can find French treasures like vintage postcards, costume jewelry and everything in between.

When you visit Nice, you must have an empty stomach, a bikini and a bottle of rosé. Lunch at Castel Plage was one of my favorite dining experiences in the entire South of France.

Delicious food, an incredible seafront table and a chill bottle of rosé = a happy girl.

So when you visit Nice, start your morning in Cours Saleya with an espresso and a big smile, then continue by foot through the small streets and along the beach. Your heart will lead you from there.

More specifically, Portland, Maine!

Last fall I took a roundtrip around New England for some leaf peeping, fall frolicking, and most importantly, for all of the eats. And while there are a LOT of incredible places to eat around New England, it’s Portland that has some of the absolute best foods.

From sweet potato donuts to fries made in duck fat to some of the best oysters I’ve ever had, this place is literally heaven.

Great post. I and my wife often go there and we love Nice. We’re from the UK and we’re well travelled. We have two apartments in Vieux Nice.
There’s a fresh (uncooked) and cooked seafood platter minutes away at Torinino’s fabulous seafood restaurant close to Garibaldi in Vieux Nice. We love to people watch there eating lunch as Place Garibaldi is packed with people making their way into the narrow streets, or alleys should I call them, in the Old Town/Vieux Nice.
You can wander to Le Port (it’s a five-minute walk) and see the superyachts and megayachts anchored at Port Lympia, with Quai Lunel running past Pointe de Rauba-Capéu to the sea.
We have competitive rates for the two, one-bed apartments, beautifully and tastefully decorated. The two apartments/flats have separate doors to each and we let them out individually or as a two bedroom unit. We are able to do this as they are each self-contained. The one was purchased about in 2008 and the other was in 2013. You and others are welcome to see our site

There are many more appetizing and delectable pics there as well and you can see the inside of the apartments. We regularly stay there and let them out as well.

Been following your blog and Insta for months now and all I ever want to say is ‘YASSSSS girl SLAYYYY’. At 3am lat night booked flights to Nice for next week and am beyond excited. Would love any recommendations for restaurants and fashion in July (can’t beat the heat).
