  1. I travel with my girlfriend all the time and I’m a personal trainer and she is a group fitness instructor who takes 2-3 classes per day when at home. So when we go away she likes to rest her body whereas I look at it as a time to train more often. So we came to a compromise on our last two holidays and went to different gyms. Did some classes but mainly weights. We managed to go to the gym at least every second day which was great. It was good to experience gyms in other countries too :). You have some nice exercise ideas here for travellers. Certainly not many excuses for those who want to stay fit when travelling.

    Great list Kiersten! I would add surfing to it though, whatever your level, it’s always a great activity, and one hour is enough to get a great workout!
