I live in Norway, and I am pleased to see Scandinavia is on your list of safe places to travel. I would however not recommend Sweden, because of the crime rates. Even though I live in the neighbouring country, I wouldn’t concider Sweden as a safe place to travel. It used to be very safe some years ago, but has turned into something completely different. Today it is like, If I’d want to give myself a scare, I’d just start reading Swedish newspapers-it’s that bad. Norway is a lot better, and I totally agree that Iceland is very safe! 🙂

    Kiersten,

I have a solo female trip planned to Madrid, Spain. Any thoughts or suggestions? Have you been and would you consider it safe?

    • Yes and I loved it! I have a Guide to Madrid if you search under Spain 🙂

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
