  1. Great list, although I also find NZ relatively expensive compared to the rest of the destinations on the list. Of course, you can travel cheap almost anywhere, but FX rate with NZD isn’t as favorable as some other places.

I would also add Vietnam! A great place to visit if you’ve already done Cambodia and Thailand.

Who doesnt love lists, and this is a great one. My opinion is that budget lists should likely be qualified with the view that indeed we can travel to some destinations on a budget (I am Thai, and agree Thailand can be less expensive than some places), but going “super” budget comes at the cost of a whole spectrum of experiences. Sure, we are present in the place, but are we maximizing the potential of the experience or sort of there simply to be there?

I tend to recommend value-added quality experience over longevity. If we can travel for 2 weeks of packed activities, interactions with locals, and yummy foods, or for 1 month of bare bones existence in a foreign destination, which likely would be more memorable and transformative?

My favorite smart features of my old home! 🏠

I put a lot of thought and design into my home, so I knew I had to get curated, high-tech window shades to match.

Enter @rollishades — sleek, custom motorized shades that actually elevate the space while solving the very real sunlight problem. From light-filtering to blackout options, everything is tailored to fit perfectly and controlled with the touch of a button (or app). It’s the kind of smart, intentional design that makes a home feel finished. 🪟🤍

I easily installed these in my guest bedroom and let me just say, when guests come over, they’re getting what feels like a hotel experience in my home (minus the room service).
